The Brief

     There are more people working in media today than in any other employment sector.
     A constant development in technology has impacted on media production and distribution;
     which in turn has allowed for new and modified employment opportunities. This trend is set
     to continue and will affect anyone who is working in the industry.

     You will create a blog informing sixth form and university media students of the professional
     practices essential to working in the media industries. You must teach them of the different
     organisational structures of each media industry such as television, radio; film; animation;
     interactive media; computer games; publishing; press; photo-imaging; advertising and
     marketing. You will inform them of employment opportunities and job roles in the sector and
     help them think about how they can become skilled and multi-skilled through training and
     professional development. You will also help them develop their knowledge of financial issues
     and ownership trends.
